Lowtrow Facilities

Lowtrow Cross is a 4 Star site and we are proud that on our last inspection we were given 100% for the cleanliness and maintenance of the site facilities.

We are a small site and our facilities are in proportion to our size,  everything is more than adequate for the number of visitors staying.  We are however, big on peace and quiet, relaxation and a friendly smile!

Rob and Karen our resident wardens are here to welcome you and check you in. They are happy to help with pitching up or with any queries you may have during your stay or just to leave you in peace, whichever you prefer!

Open from 8am – 8pm. Well stocked with essentials, fresh milk, local free range eggs, Exmoor honey, butter, tea, coffee, local Butcher’s own sausages, bacon and burgers, everything you need for breakfast. Plus a good range of dried goods, frozen foods (including some vegetarian) bread, biscuits, cakes, chocolate, drinks, water and toiletries, BBQ’s etc.etc.

We have a comprehensive selection of leaflets, guides and local walks, cycle trails and OS maps.

Facilities

  • Showers – Heated in cool weather, wet room style showers with plenty of hot water and a hairdryer for ladies.

  • Hardstandings – Each pitch has 16 amp electric hook up, TV points and water close by.

  • Wi Fi – Is available free on site.

  • Dog Walk – A short walk situated in the bottom half of the camping field, ideal for early and late outings, dogs under control may go off lead.

  • Calor Gas – We sell and exchange most calor bottle sizes and some camping gaz.

  • Library/Book exchange – This facility is very popular with campers and in addition to the books there are magazines and reference books on birds and the local area.

  • Laundry – coin operated washing machine and dryer.

  • Freezer –  To put your ice blocks or own food in, with 24hr access.

  • Microwave – Available for your use, with 24hr access.

  • Dishwashing – Undercover with veg prep work top.

  • Motorhome Point – In addition to the elsan point we have a separate point for motorhomes.

  • Recycling – We encourage visitors to use the glass, can, plastic bottle and paper/cardboard recycling bins.
